That stirred a memory. I have only ever owned one desktop computer in my life. Always had portable machines after that. Don't know why, probably part of the job (being mobile). The wife gets hand-me-downs so we're totally laptop here. I've never though of power-related hard drive crashes before. And we get power cuts about once or twice a month of the flickery-lights type you mention, Mike. Just a bit of mobile meandering.
