I went even farther than the GESO, Ann, to your website. I noticed your gallery on Jim Thorpe, PA. It drew my interest since my father was born there when his father worked in the coal mines of what was then called Mach Chunk. It was a dirty little burg populated by impoverished immigrants of various tongues back then. My grandfather hated working underground so much that he took a job as a track walker for the railroad. At least if got the family out of Mach Chunk.
After the mines closed, the locals were desperate. Somehow, they convinced the family of Jim Thorpe to move his body to their town, and changed its name to Jim Thorpe. They restore some of the remaining victorian homes, and created the "gateway to the Poconos." For those who may not be familiar with Ji Thorpe, he was a Native American who became one of the greatest athletes of all times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Thorpe A measure of his greatness is that Burt Lancaster played him in the Hollywood movie about his life and career. Thanks, Ann, I enjoyed that gallery very much.
