I once shot at 300mm from the prone position on a mountaineering trip, because I didn't have a tripod. I don't remember what the shutter speed was, but it was f/5.6 with fuji velvia at sunset. It's not the sharpest shot in the world, but certainly acceptable. Now that I think about it, I should have built a little platform for the camera out of snow.
