Thanks, Ann. Yes, I already miss Maui. Our three days in NoCal were interesting and pleasant, but not Maui. Our trip home was dreadful. We left the hotel in SJ at 8:00 AM, and had an uneventful flight to Denver. Our connection from Denver to Newark was delayed several time, and we eventually took off 3 hours late, after boarding once, being dumped out of the plane and back into the terminal, and them boarding again. We sill had to sit on the tarmac until they had assigned a landing time in Newark. After we finally landed in Newark, we were on the ground for 50 minutes waiting for a gate. Then, once inside, it took forever to get our bags; they changed our assigned carousel twice, and even after that it was 40 minutes before the bags started to arrive. It was a slow ride home, because the roads were slushy and icy. Instead of arriving home at 9:30, as planned, we got here at 2:00 AM. More than 15 hours door to door.
But we are home, and our son and our dog were here to greet us. Off to bed.
