I was a photographer at Swingin’ at the Savoy, an annual dance workshop, again this year. I did get a few photos that I particularly like.
Norma Miller was a dancer at the Savoy Ballroom back in the day, and was a member of Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers. She’s a vocalist with several overlapping jazz/swing bands. I resorted to using a speedlight with an amber gel as fill in an attempt to get skin tones close enough to neutral to even make an attempt at passable color correction.
