I had to take Baxter to the vet tonight. She was 21 years old and was barely eating.

Really sorry for you. We've had the experience a few times in the last 5 years. Last one was Ambrosius, on our return from our Xmas holiday, not even 3 years old, with a severe heart condition. We could have battled on with loads of medication and a high chance of more complications. We discussed things with our vet and we agreed we wouldn't do him a favour.

21 years is quite something for a cat. Think of the good times you've had.
