Sigma 28-135 I use w/ the Pentax Zx-5n. I am looking
at the Tokina 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5, but would like to
read others experiences w/ this lens or other zooms
similar to it. I do not mean to start a prime vs zooms
debate; I am *not* considering a prime lens in this
range at this time.

i have the Vivitar Series 1 19-35 manual focus zoom that i have retired.
it's a good inexpensive lens that can flare a lot if you have any
highlights in the frame. sharpness is OK, but the lens isn't that
expensive,
so i didn't expect miracles. i replaced it with a Sigma 15-30 AF zoom
because
for the work that i like to do, 19 isn't wide enough, and neither was
the 17mm Tokina that i have also retired.
