I got a second hand Zoom recorder recently...

Which one? I've got the H2, H4n and recently their new H3-VR ambisonic
recorder which is great fun, not lastly because it can be operated
remotely from my iPhone.

Mostly use them for recording industrial and other soundscapes like this
one, taken high up in the belfry of Dunkirk during a force 8 gale...

There are more sounds under the 'Audio' link below.

Your recording sounds fine and the Dropbox link works as well.

It's the Zoom H6. I got the complete kit with the XYH-6 module, the MSH-6 MS Stereo Mic module, USB cable, PAPER MANUAL & case for $200 USD.

It will handle up to 6 simultaneous inputs (built in stereo + 4 multi-mode XLR/TRS inputs) & can do limited mixing onboard. Has onboard +12v, +24V & +48V phantom power for condenser microphones.

I haven't tried out all of the functions yet. I did overdub a vocal track for Harlan, but I'm not satisfied with it yet. It's not in the version I dropped. That's just the raw wav file converted to an mp3 in Audacity so it won't be such a monster. The wav file is 40.3MB, while the mp3 is only 3.90MB

It's supposed to be really good for capturing audio along with DSLR Video. I haven't had a chance to try that out either.

I didn't like the way that URL wraps, so I also made a TinyURL just in case.

Let me know if the dropbox URL works or if the funny way it wraps breaks it.

Good recording! Who's singing?

That is "moi", believe it or not.

I'll never be a rock 'n roll star, but I'm rather pleased that I was not off-key any worse than I was, considering I wasn't able to use headphones to listen to myself while I was singing.

That's something I'm hoping to correct with the overdub vocal track (because I can use headphones to hear what I'm doing there). It still amazes me how much different I sound on a recording than what I hear inside my head when I'm singing.

And, thank you to everyone who responded and anyone who took a minute to listen.
