I grew up in farm country, and I can say with some certainty that there's hardly a plow (or plough) to be seen in any of those shots! It would be a shame to see the end of such an exhibition, but at least we've got your backlog of excellent shots to remind us of times past. The last frame, in particular, brings back memories; just such a machine (although a little but later, I think) driven by the PTO from a tractor, used to be set up during harvest season at the end of the row of six houses (some housing farm workers, some - including ours - in private hands). A decade later everything was being done by combine harvesters; I got my first summer job driving tractors to ferry the grain from the fields to the barns. (At age 16 I was old enough to legally drive a tractor on public roads). Learning to reverse a two-axle trailer was 'interesting'. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
