I believe New Jersey has a certain history regarding bridge closures 8^)

This one looks like it maybe predates the New Jersey Department of Transportation. I suspect it was built back before the automobile replaced the horse & carriage; perfectly adequate in its day, but no match for modern road behemoths.

Nicely documented. Probably end up in the local library's historical (hysterical?) photos file a hundred years from now.
