Larry, I bought the last non-ransomware version of Lightroom and didn't bother even installing until almost two years later! The "dehaze" tool was a useful addition but other than that it didn't have anything to recommend it over previous versions as far as I'm concerned. I can't see any reason to upgrade further, myself.
If you really need better HDR and panorama tools you'll get better results with specialized third-party applications and probably save money, too. Photomatix Pro is the benchmark for HDR and it's only $99.00 and worth twice that, at least.
