Interesting. I tried the free version to try & revive an HP2400 scanner. It wouldn't work properly (parts of scanned pages were blank) so I contacted Mr Hamrick who asked me to conduct a couple of tests & forward the resulting files. He informed me that the scanner had croaked! Hard to get service like that today.
