I agree, a "pro" uses the right equipment for the image desired.  A "pro" can 
also make the most out of their equipment, regardless...  A less skilled 
photographer would likely not do as well, even with the most "pro" level 
equipment.  Even a Holga could be appropriate as a part of a wedding suite of 
photos.  Maybe the bride and groom want a primitive style photo, or one that 
is different from the conventional wedding portrait.

I am not against high quality equipment, I just don't believe that just 
having it will make someone a "pro".
