I haven’t used jalbum at all, so can’t help with technical details. I do have a question/suggestion concerning the user interface however. Assuming this is something you can change and isn’t a feature/bug of jalbum…
Specifically, I clicked on your Street and More… collection, started scaling through using the Right Arrow at the top. [By the way, I like that the arrow doesn’t move around, is fixed at the top rather than being at the edge of the current image.] So I get to the last image in in the collection, and Right Arrow unexpectedly took me to the first image in a different collection, Portraits. I would have thought that it would either cycle me back to the first image in the current collection or to the next-higher-level index. Ok, so now I go to the last of the Misc images, click on the Right Arrow, it takes me into the Birds. OK, same as above. Then I get to the last of the Birds, pause to admire the shot, click on the arrow and nothing happens. It doesn’t take me to an Index, to the first in the collection, to the first in the first collection - Landscape. Nada, zip. The inconsistency is disturbing and the lack of response is more disturbing. If nothing else, could you delete or grey out the non-functional arrow? If you can do it within the album feature set, my recommendation would be to have your arrows at the top always cycle within the current set. Left Arrow on the first in a collection would take you to last in the collection, Right Arrow on the last would cycle back to the first… You have the Up Arrow to go back to the Index, and I think it is not unreasonable to force people to use that. As you have it now, you have one large collection with an index which points not to different “folders” or collections, but rather to the start point for a new topic within the continuous stream. Issues of user interface aside, I would think that the way you have it now it would be difficult to add an image e.g. to Street without screwing up the linkages left and right. stan > On Mar 17, 2020, at 9:40 PM, P.
