Mainly, it's just that I've got all the 1099-Rs collected together & I want to
get it done before I misplace them again.

John - the tax filing deadline was extended 3 months. No rush, unless you are
expecting a refund.
I filed mine about a month ago, received my refund within about 10 days. At
the same time I sent in an Amended filing for last year (i.e., 2018 tax
year), that goes to an office in Northern California, and it may be months if
ever before I see that resolved.

I wonder how long it lasts on paper? I still need to take my tax forms to
the Credit Union to get my taxes filed. Wish I'd got all the forms together
in January and got it over with before the sh**-storm started to come
down.
Maybe if I'm still alive next year I'll remember not to procrastinate. (If
I'm not still alive next year it's somebody else's problem, so I'm not
going to worry about that now.)
Will microwaves kill the virus? Maybe I should nuke my 1099-Rs before I
take them in? I'll have to call them tomorrow & see how they're handling
taxes now.
I note that the Coronavirus pneumonia dry cough w/o runny nose is the same
as my early seasonal allergies cough ... the runny nose & watering eyes
come later.
I guess I'll have them in about two weeks.
