I have been enjoying Dale Cook's images of Old Mills. We don't have as many in my neck of the woods, but there are a few that are interesting and historic.
The two here are in Clinton, NJ, just a few miles west of my home. The Red Mill, a 4 1/2 story grist mill dating from 1810, is reputed to be the most photographed structure in New Jersey. It also serves as a venue for weddings and other events. The Old Stone Mill, directly across the South Branch of the Raritan River, was originally built in 1763, and supposedly ground wheat for Washington’s army during its encampment in Morristown. It is currently an art museum. http://dan-matyola.squarespace.com/danmatyolas-pesos/2020/4/18/clinton-mills Comments are invited and appreciated.
