Sorry, Ralf. Parisian lunches suck; all ham and cheese. Elsewhere in France is quite different.
Just our of curiosity, we checked out a Parisian grocery once. They had special racks with a separate indentation for each apple or peach. I noticed a sign indicating a restaurant upstairs. I climbed the stairs to look, and noticed several tables of businessmen in suits and ties. I convinced my wife to go up there and give it a try, and it was the most wonderful dinner we ever had, with menu items I had never imagined before. I can't recall the name of the grocery, but I understand it is still there but no longer operates that restaurant.
