Could you just wire up a remote release for your camera? I think that it’s just a 2.5mm stereo photo jack, ground, autofocus and shutter. Clamp your camera to a tall ladder and point it at a popular branch with it pre focused at f/16 and Tav exposure. Or just set it up and use the internal intervalometer.
