I met Josh White once, at The Gate of Horn - he broke my friend anitra's acoustic guitar I was told earlier - so that was the conversation starter. I knew Bill Broonzy, and Jack Elliot's brother was a friend of mine.. but I never met Jack.  Yes, right on about the Kingston trio.

Odetta!  One of my all-time favorites.

I was a folk music snob in college.  Baez and Dylan were "Pop" singers, ripping off the real folk artists:  Woody Guthrie, Cisco Houston, Ledbelly, Odetta, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Josh White, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, and the Carter Family.  Pete Seeger, Harry Belefonte, and The Weavers also were accepted, even though they had gone "commercial."  The Kingston Trio?  Fogettaboutit!

Bob G stood me up :-( - probably because I had just gotten married

    I had the show. hehe.
How lovely you got to interview Baez and Pete!
