Interesting. The reason I asked is that, years ago, while driving through Vancouver Island, I saw a sign pointing to "The Center of the Universe." I did not have time for a side trip, but my curiosity was piqued. I have asked several Canadians I met in Maui, but none of them were familiar with the sign or the designation.
