Early this spring, I cleaned out most of the birdhouses in our yard, and reinforced with copper the entrances of some that had been "improved" by squirrels. My efforts have been rewarded by a bluebird pair who h-ave built a nest in a birdhouse conveniently located across from the lanai (2d floor balcony) off our bedroom.
