I am trying not to disturb the nesting couple.  I am taking all the shots
from our upper deck, probably 75 feet or more from the house.  Also, I am
using my old *istD, mounted on a tripod which I keep upstairs, and my FA
75-300 zoom, which is the longest lens I own (except for an old 500 mm
reflector f8 screwmount), but far from the sharpest.  The female is quite
nervous, and rests only a second before disappearing into the house or
flying away.  She also keeps turning back to look in m direction.  The male
is far more cooperative about posing for the camera.
