Thanks for asking. :) I'm fine, better than yesterday. My hernia repair is healing up extremely fast. Yuck, another unsightly scar on my belly. So much for being a go-go boy: another of life's ambitions dashed! LOL!
Yesterday was bad on smoke here in Santa Clara. I didn't go out. Temps peaked around 94°F. Power has not been out since Sunday. I kept the condo cool yesterday (under 85°F) by running one AC unit on low for about four hours with the windows closed. Forecast for today shows temps peaking well down, in the 85°F range. I'll likely not run the AC at all (prefer not to have it on, honestly). Smoke outside similar to yesterday. If it's reasonably clear out, I'll go for a walk this afternoon. Just watching the news for the fire situation. Nothing near me. Looks like fog pulling into the coastal areas and the heat wave numbers dropping today. Lots of fires still burning in the hills … new evac warnings in San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties. Risks to the telecom network .. cell towers and such. Lots and lots of activity in the area west of Skyline/Santa Cruz mountains with a huge 124000 square mile area burning and not contained yet. Various friends under evac warnings, Cell towers being threatened (a few down already) etc etc. Another glorious morning in this most beseiged year … !!! G > On Aug 20, 2020, at 6:36 AM, Daniel J.
