Actually, the air outside (here in Santa Clara) is much clearer than yesterday 
now, no longer the deep reddish hue pervading everything. Temps are currently 
81°F … nice, warm and mild. I'm tired of sitting in the house, I'll go for a 
walk and get a takeout sandwich, eat lunch when I get back home. 

Lots of fire trouble still ongoing over in the mountains to the west, and more 
north of here and to the east. A messy situation. Many of the areas in the 
Santa Cruz mountains that are burning are very hard to get to with fire and 
support teams. My friends at the southeastern edge of the fire zone are now 
evacuated, like Larry is.

There's unfortunately little I can do to help. :(
I'll continue on with business as usual here.
