No I've never tried focus stacking (TBH it doesn't interest me that much). I never use AF with the macro unless I have the focus limiter set for non-macro work. It took me a few goes to get the seeds in focus due to both subject movement and me trying to stay still. I'm usually too lazy to get the tripod out and that was no exception. The frustration I expressed with the K10D's AF comes from using it with longer lenses. It often loses lock and tries to refocus the wrong way, so you have to wait for it to hit its limit then go all the way back.
