My u43 question was prompted by my carrying a camera with me on my bicycle. There are two similar but distinct scenarios. On one of them, I’m going for a bike ride, but bringing a camera with me “just in case”. In the other scenario, I’m going out taking photos, and using my bicycle as transportation.
If the primary goal is a bike ride, then I just need to have a decent camera reasonably accessible, and something like an OMD in my ibera handlebar bag is nearly perfect: https://bikepakmart.com/products/ibera-all-weather-clip-on-bicycle-front-handlebar-dslr-camera-case?_pos=1&_sid=ee47d82cc&_ss=r If, however, the goal is photography, it’s almost exactly too small, particularly if I’ve got the K3 or the K1. I can see the options for various solutions from carrying lenses in a trunk bag on the rear rack, to one of the chest harnesses that in theory keeps the camera more accessible, to given unlimited budget hard luggage on a motorcycle. I’m curious what solutions (advantages and tradeoffs) other people have come up with and how much money it has set them back? -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
