I tried tonight. I don’t know whether the problem was glass, weather or talent but none of my shots came out. I’ve got some where one of the blurs is more saturn shaped than the other. Considering that I’ve gotten much better photos of Jupiter, where the bands were nearly visible, I think that the hazy skies were likely a big part of my difficulty. One of the mistakes I made was not getting my gear together much earlier so that I could start before they got too low into the haze. I tried with both cameras and my tamron 300/2.8 and my bigma. I wanted to try more permutations, but didn’t get anything worth comparing. As bad as my shots were, they were even worse when I didn’t use the cable release along with the 2 second delay. Maybe I’ll try to run over to Mount Hamilton tomorrow if that’ll get me above and east of the haze and fog. > > Paul > >> On Dec 19, 2020, at 8:32 PM, Larry Colen <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Is anyone getting any practice shots of the convergence? >> >> What lens/exposure are you using? >> >> -- >> Larry Colen >> [email protected] >> >> >> >> >> -- >> PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List >> [email protected] >> http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net >> to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and >> follow the directions. > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
