For the record, Larry, I've had NO "issues" in upgrading macOS to Big Sur … I 
knew LR was going to be incompatible well before I upgraded to Catalina, and 
was planning for that to happen. It was broken already anyway, with two modules 
not working correctly in v6.14 for a least a year before that because of a 
third party library's SPI which had changed and which Adobe would not roll 
another version of LR 6.x perpetual license to correct. 

I always upgrade my computers' OS and apps. When the apps don't work after an 
upgrade, and the company that develops them doesn't update them to suit, I 
consider that a sign that it's not worth doing my work with that company's 
offerings any more. I, of course, always make sure that I have a way to 
preserve my work and my data before I do an upgrade… :)
