As you might remember, last July, while I was photographing comet Neowise my 
K-1 crapped out.   This was particularly frustrating because this was pretty 
much exactly what I bought the K-1 for and while I was able to get some decent 
shots with the K-3ii, it wasn’t quite up to the performance of the K-1.  I sent 
it off to Precision, then had to wait a couple months for the camera to return. 
 Last weekend I noticed that the lens release button was sticking and my lens 
wouldn’t reliably latch in place.  I sent them a note and got the reply:  It’s 
out of warranty, you can try cleaning it, but if it doesn’t work you have to 
send it in (for I presume the full $390 for a simple cleaning).

Long story short, I was able the clean it, it seems to work.  Precision is 
lucky they have a monopoly.
