Thanks to everyone for the feedback. It's nice to rediscover a bit of photographic mojo. New equipment does that, I suppose.
At the risk of sounding like Pierre de Fermat, last week I took a wonderful photo of my daughter and her best friend running towards me, using the K5ii and FA200mm lens, but I can't show it here. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the AF tracked them. And the sensor in this camera is made of pixie dust.
