I also took apart the front parts as I wanted to increase the close
focussing range but I found that's not possible at this lens. But IIRC, the
springs are fixed at the front part ( which moves during focussing and
contains the front element group ) and also at the rear part. Is the rear
element also turning during focussing ? This could be a check whether I'm
right or not.Steve Larson wrote;
