scheduled services between Africa, South America and Europe for Del
Monte. Their vessels not only carried bananas but also passengers in a
number of cabins.
The photo shows their Hornbay in the floating dock in Dunkirk, in 2008.
The shipping company was liquidated a year later and the vessel was
scrapped in Alang, India, in 2020.
