I don't know whether I have photos of it -- I certainly have B&W shots taken with my KX along the
river and at the Alamo .. may have color too..

I'll check out Hotel HAvana on google and look at my contact sheets

Possibly the Hotel Havana which would have been there then, it is a bit up
the river from the main tourist area and small like 27 rooms.  But I'm sure
there are other properties that could fit that description also.

And 1976 would have been before either of those Marriott Hotels were
there.  The shorter one dates to 1979 and the taller one 1988.  Rivercenter
mall wouldn't have been there which the Taller one is attached to.  But
Joske's(Large Department Store) would have been there, It is that building
on the Middle left, which was recently completely gutted and renovated, and
now hosts a bunch of different things. Dave & Busters, H&M, an Aquarium,
Lego Store, a food court, etc.  I was never in Joske's but it must have
been huge.
