I thought Vinyl was making a comeback...

I only have about  200 LP's , 20-30 78's, and 40 cd's  mostly classical but some jazz, folk, blues.. whatever rock I had was an ex husband's and I sold most of it.  CD player broke.. but I have a mid 20th century portable phonograph.

RIck, if you find a CD player that gives you the info you want I could use one also... but not for music, for my travel notes from 2001, 2002 that I recorded on casettes then transfered to cd"s with a machine that I was given and no longer know how to use.. very fancy... but it is big and heavy
so I'm not using it to play CD's now.

My collection is overwhelmingly classical, and consists of about 150 CDs and
twice that many LPs.

I have no desire to spend time ripping them to alternative methods of storage.

Get rid of them all. I got rid of mine years ago because they, and the player,
took up so much space. The cases are just more useless plastic, and at London
property prices I figured I could get better value out of the square footage.
I buy most of my music on second-hand cds from German ebay dealer
Medimops. Their prices are most attractive and shipping is free. They
have a lot of stuff that wouldn't be available from the usual streaming
sites.

Once they arrive, I rip them and store them as uncompressed alac files
on a NAS. This way, I can access them at various places in our flat. The
Cds are stored in the basement.
