Sometimes when I open a folder of photos in LR, a series of photos in the Library view has an icon with an exclamation point in the upper right corner.
Clicking on that icon produces the message: "The metadata for this photo has been changed by both Lightroom and another application. Should Lightroom import settings from disk or overwrite disk settings with those from the catalog?” The highlighted selection is “Overwrite settings;” but how is one supposed to know which to select when there is no opportunity to preview the results?
