This is my first post from Maui. It has taken a while to get settled and overcome jet lag, but mostly I have just been lazy and enjoying the incredible weather.
They have a cult of sun worshipers here, who gather on the western shore of the island every evening to watch their Sun/God, La, slowly sink into the blue Pacific. Many also make a pilgrimage once every season to the House of the Sun (Haleakala) in the chilly winds at 10,000 ft asl, to watch the great La rise in the East. Here a group of sun worshippers gather in anticipation of the daily setting of the sun: http://dan-matyola.squarespace.com/danmatyolas-pesos/2022/1/25/watching K-5 IIs, smc DA 18-135 mm F 3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR Comments, criticisms, and suggestions are invited and appreciated.
