This is a postcard I'm going to put up on ebay. When held at a slant the black stuff on the boats and the online of the boat with the sail turns silver. The card is from roughly 1910 -1912. I want to put in my description what this phenomenon is called and I'll be damned if I can remember the term is for it. I'm including the URLS for the scan I'm going to use, though the effect isn't clear in it, of course, because it lay flat on the scanner.
