Collapsed it's the smallest of all full size tripods. If you don't like the PD concept of capture plates connected on their bags and the camera straps (which connect to their plates) the tripod on itself is a strange beast with a very annoying head if you don't have pd plates on everything. I got hooked to the PD (capture) system after that the tripod had to come next, just in case I need a tripod (which I hate to use and even more hate to carry around). You can swap the head and mount any tripod head, if that's the case a travel tripod from sirui or manfrotto makes more sense and probably is smaller once collapsed
