I have another question relating to this thread: Should lenses be stored wide open or closed-down?
A repairman told me once that some Takumar lenses should be stored wide-open while others closed-down, depending of their mechanisms. He refered to spring tension I think. I do feel this diaphragm ring tension sometimes, especially on SMCT lenses, but I have never bothered about this. Andre >What is the safest way to store an unused lens?
