What a wonderful thing you did.  I'm proud of you.  These little creatures
need all the help they can get.  You deserved the applause that you
received.  A similar incident happened here last week on one of our busiest
highways (6 lane divided interstate).  The northbound local lanes were at a
standstill and there were flashing lights up ahead.  I was in the express
lane, and when I got to the flashing lights there were 2 highway patrol cars
blocking the road, and the patrolmen were guiding a mother Canada goose and
at least six babies across the the road to safety.  It looked like they all
made it to the other side, too, from what I could see.  Sometimes one gets
kind of down hearing the bad things on the news day after day, and then
someone does a very kind thing and helps another human being or a helpless
animal, it restores ones faith in humanity.  Thanks for what you did.
