I would like to know what brands to look for in a 1.4x or 2x tele-coverter to compliment a SMC 200mm screw mount lens. I've never seen a SMC Takumar converter, does such a creature exist? If you can recommend one, can you please comment on it's performance? If I find a good one and use it with the SMC 200mm should I expect a big loss of contrast and sharpness as compared to just using a 300mm?
