I have the Tokina. It's a beauty.
A bit heavy though (for me), I always have to use it on a monopod. Someone 
recently said to me "You won't get mugged while you're carrying that" .
I've had some very good results with it so far, but I didn't use it wide 
open. Paul used it at an indoor soccer tournament a few months ago - there 
he DID use it wide open. The lighting was very low, but those which were 
correctly exposed were very good!
