Hi Frantisek,
It won't be for the first time I met with Czechs in Carpathian
mountains... well, likely not this time as I'm still grounded at
work for more than 2 weeks.
Now, Banat county is close to the Retezat mountains, so don't miss
it's row of glacier lakes. Best picture taking time is as usual, in
the morning and at dusk, especially now in the middle of the
summer, when colours faded somehow. The Buila-Vanturarita
mountains are at leap distance from Lotrului, that is for the
beauty of bright lime walls and deep gorges. Also in the Banat take
a trip on the Nera valley, one of the most beautiful karst-scape in
Romania.
With the very hot summer that is going on, don't count on anything
colder than 20 degrees (Celsius), so taking your Pentacon Six it's
safe. Torrential rain is more of a threat for it...
Anyway, I hope you have a good time - tell us the details when you
come back. Should you have any issues with places, routes, anything
I can be of any help - you can always call me on +40 722 283435.
Good luck!
Servus, Alin
