Nice work! Another alternative which while obviously costing more, would be more versatile and easier to do would be to buy something like the Manfrotto trigger grip which is 8 inches high and so slim it not make the monopod setup any wider. http://www.manfrotto.com/products/index.html?doc_from=profsupp
