Hi Tom, A friend of mine has the Sigma in Minolta mount, I wasn't that impressed. As compared to the Pentax it is absolutely huge, it has extreme light fall off wide open and noticeable geometric distortion. These observations were made casually and unfortunately I didn't get to check absolute sharpness, flare or other important attributes.
