I think this is highly probable.
I have never owned a PZ-1p or PZ-1 but I did have the simpler version, the Z-20. An 
excellent and innovative camera, worked well. But I was not able to operate it without 
the instruction manual - so the MZ-5n was a revelation - still is BTW. But the MZ-S is 
not bad, not bad at all.
