I think you would be hard pushed to find a sports car manufacturer which isnt owned by a mass market manufacturer (ferrari/fiat, Jaguar & Aston/Ford etc), except for the 'cottage industry' companies which could not afford to scale up for mass production (of which perhaps TVR is the biggest).
