Ray,
Get an old Pentax flash.  They are plentiful on ebay.
AF200S has an onboard sensor.
AF200T has an onboard sensor, but also does TTL if you need to.
AF16 or AF160 are the smallest, weakest flashes but have sensors too.
The 220 is not for you, no sensor in the flash...needs a TTL camera.
The AF280 is a sweet flash, but bigger and more $$$.
