There were clouds and the light changed - the images need to be fixed. As I
said, I put up all those I took and only two are 'keepers' as far as I'm
concerned. Elsa had just been confirmed and was the centre of attraction.
All the other pictures are of folk eating, drinking, jostling each other,
laughing, drinking, grinning, drinking, getting in and out of focus, playing
with rubber-powered model planes, falling about and drinking. I find it very
hard to do groups - very hard indeed. I don't have a forceful enough
approach perhaps. As I said to Raimo - when he was here a few weeks ago - I
can do portraits and I can do macros, but I'll be damned if I can do groups.

For Elsa's mother I shall get all the pics of her darling looking the same,
with Photoshop, and have them printed on an Epson in the city. I've given up
on my own Epson. It eats cartridges - using more for the cleaning process
than for printing. I must say, however, some of the prints I made two
summers ago were spectacular. But the cost is just too high. The messing
about is frustrating and makes me mad as hell. I almost threw the printer
out of the window after it had used three quarters of a colour cartridge and
still hadn't cleared the ****ing jets.

Best,

D
