My ZX-5n has swung, pendulum like, into our metal skinned entry door a few times and has also fallen off a half-wall (about 3 1/2 feet) on to a laminate floor with no damage.
FWIW, the 77/1.8's front element is an, apparently, frosting-proof design. Dan Scott (if I were only as resilient...)
